United By Water: Exploring American History through Shipwrecks and Maritime Landscapes of the Great Lakes

Alpena, Michigan is still the place to be if you study shipwrecks. The second session of United By Water, a NEH Landmarks of American History and Culture Workshop for Community College Faculty, begins today at the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary. Look for more photographs from shipwreck archives and exhibits in the week to come. I’ll be tweeting the conference all week, so stay tuned!
